Parents of John Monash Science School (JMSS) students play a vital role in their learners' development. There are many ways parents can participate and contribute to the vibrant school culture.
Compass is a web-based portal to access many sites and services at JMSS. When students start at JMSS, parents will receive login details for our Compass portal.
Access your Canvas account to see your student's unit outlines, subject information, assessment timelines, grades and student feedback. Canvas is our continuous reporting platform.
If a student is going to be away or is late, please log the absence in Compass or email our Attendance Officer at absences@jmss.vic.edu.au.
You can also contact the Student Attendance Line on 9902 9712 (messages are welcome any time of the day or night). This needs to be done by 9.30am or an SMS will be automatically sent to the parent’s mobile phone.
Classes start at 8.40 am. If students arrive late, please go to reception and sign in via the Compass kiosk.
The JMSS Community Association fosters relationships between parents, alumni and friends of our students, offering support and providing a formal network for members of the school community.
