John Monash Science School students win top honours

John Monash Science School students Jonathan Purcell, Alexandra Keany, Parnian Nejatbakhsh and Silin Makdsi received top honours this week for their outstanding VCE results in 2021.

Jonathan Purcell received a Premier’s VCE Award for being a Top All-Round VCE High Achiever, which is given to students who achieved outstanding results in five or more of their subjects. Alexandra Keany received a Premier’s VCE Award for excellence in Biology, Parnian Nejatbakhsh and Silin Makdsi both received  awards for English (EAL). This puts them among the top VCE students in the state in 2021.

John Monash Science School principal Peter Corkill said the entire school community was proud of their Premier’s VCE Award recipients.

Peter Corkill went on to say ‘Congratulations to these wonderful students on their superb efforts in the VCE in 2021. Each of you are a great credit to your families and your school, and we are supremely proud of you all. Our best wishes to you for what will be no doubt an exciting and fulfilling future.’

298 of Victoria’s brightest students were recognised by this year’s Premier’s VCE Awards.
