John Monash Science School’s unique position on the Clayton campus of Monash University provides the school with access to nationally and internationally recognised science and education research academics.
The school has been designed to facilitate a range of teaching approaches, flexibility of group sizes and maximum access to cutting-edge learning technologies. These outstanding facilities help us achieve the best learning outcomes for students in the 21st century. Rather than traditional classrooms, our school has open-plan learning spaces for small or large groups up to 50 students with two teachers working in tandem.
John Monash Science School is Victoria's first specialist school for science, maths and technology. Applications for enrolment at John Monash Science School for our 2021 intake will open towards the end of Term 1, 2020. We encourage all interested parties to attend our annual Information Night.
John Monash Science School is a State Government Senior Secondary School. School fees consist of compulsory and voluntary components. Payments can be made by credit card through the Compass Parent Portal, BPay or Direct Bank Deposit.
JMSS is a strict uniform school, with both a Summer and Winter uniform, as well as a Sports uniform. Students may also need a labcoat depending on subject choices, and a school backpack is available with the JMSS logo.
JMSS is also conscious of the need to provide an efficient process for families to recycle their textbooks, uniforms and other student resources. You can buy and sell second-hand uniforms, books, calculators and stationery online – a great initiative run by our PFA.
