The Emerging Sciences Victoria (ESV) program makes it possible for Year 9 and 10 students across Victoria to access specialised STEM subjects through a virtual classroom. Broadcast from a purpose built studio on the John Monash Science School (JMSS) campus, ESV creates engaging, collaborative, and inclusive learning for all students.
The ESV programs are broadcast from a purpose-built studio on the JJMSS campus. Using collaborative online documents, video cameras, and headsets, students from across Victoria can connect and interact with their virtual classmates and teachers.
The ESV team is a collaborative effort that includes teaching, learning and educational support staff from JMSS, researchers and academics from Monash University, and leading experts from relevant industries. The ESV team works together to create and deliver a unique educational experience for our students.
Students participating in the ESV have the opportunity to study as individuals, in groups, or as full classes, and will receive a mid-way progress report, and a full report and certificate upon successful completion.
ESV offers a number of different courses each semester, with new subjects and topics added regularly. Each course is delivered live through our virtual classroom.
Listed below are some examples of subjects on offer through ESV.
