Korea Science Academy of KAIST Science Fair (KSASF)

From 1 – 4 July, three Year 12 students (Jill Xu, Susan Chen and Jun Xiang), along with Dr David Albrecht and Dr Melanie Denney, attended the Korea Science Academy of KAIST Science Fair (KSASF) in Busan, South Korea. The students presented a poster and oral presentation on their project entitled “Comparative Analysis of Accuracy and Latency in Quantum Image Encoding: NEQR vs. FRQI for Grayscale Images”, and their outstanding efforts were acknowledged with an Innovative Research Award during the closing ceremony. They were also involved in a range of STEM and cultural experiences during their stay, including a visit to the massive Hyundai factory. Congratulations to the students for all of their hard work and for being wonderful ambassadors for JMSS on an international stage
