Australian Science Fair 2019

John Monash Science School and Monash University are proud to present the annual Australian Science Fair — A celebration of scientific and STEM-related research being carried out in Australian secondary schools.

This FREE event also coincides with John Monash Science School’s 10 year anniversary. As part of celebrating the 10 years of education to the community, JMSS has many events and activities planned to mark the occasion, the biggest being this Australian Science Fair on the 25th of November, 2019. Visit any time between 6.00pm to 8:30pm. Entry is free via Eventbrite.

A collaboration between John Monash Science School and the Faculties of Science, Biomedical Science and Education at Monash University, the Australian Science Fair will showcase a rich cross-section of ideas, learning, research and pedagogy, providing an immersive educational experience for both students and teachers alike.

Held on campus at John Monash Science School, the Australian Science Fair is a free event, open to the public, featuring exhibits and displays from secondary school students from across Victoria, and across Australia.

Appropriate for students, teachers, parents and families, the event will feature interactive demonstrations, presentations and live experiments, and promises to be an exciting evening of sensational science for all ages!

FAQs

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No, you do not need to bring your printed ticket to the event. John Monash Science School uses Eventbrite to help inform our expected number of guests, and to ensure that we don’t overfill the event (or the school!).

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Due to our location on the Monash University campus, there are very limited parking options near John Monash Science School. We highly recommend public transport for getting to/from the event. Monash University is well-serviced by a large number of bus routes, including buses that run from nearby rail stations including Huntingdale and Glen Waverley.
